The building at 649 Main St. Hyannis is purchased by Puff The Magic founder David Wood.  The build out begins.

Puff The Magic opens its doors with a modest selection of cigars and serving only coffee and soda.

Puff The Magic, now licensed, serves its first alcoholic beverage.

August 1999- 

April, 6 2000- 

Feb. 2001-

The new stately private lockers become available.  Puff The Magic regulars scramble to get the best locations.

The Town Of Barnstable bans smoking in all bars restaurants and lounges.  Puff The Magic is granted a variance from the regulation as a pre-existing smoking bar.  Puff The Magic is featured on the front page of the Cape Cod Times.

New Sedgewick Inc., D.B.A. Puff The Magic is granted a federal trademark on the name Puff The Magic as it pertains to cigars, smoking bars and cigar shops.

Sept. 1, 2003-

August 2004- 

Feb. 2006- 

Puff The Magic becomes a Fuente Fuente Opus X dealer.

Puff The Magic acquires 645 Main St. (next door).  Major improvements to parking, signage and landscaping begin.

The Puff The Magic airplane goes into service serving the tobacco needs of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket customers.  The plane also flies 50 charity missions a year for Angel Flight NE.

Mar. 2006- 

Sept. 2006-

July 6, 2006-

Puff The Magic is granted an entertainment license and a beautiful grand piano is added.

State Of Massachusetts bans smoking in all bars, restaurants and lounges.  Puff The Magic is granted a permit to smoke indoors as a smoking bar.

July, 2008-

Summer 2008- 

Sept. 2008-

A new ceiling is installed at Puff The Magic.  Hailed as the most beautiful ceiling on Cape Cod people travel for miles just to admire it.

Leading the charge for many years to have all cigars barcoded, Puff The Magic installs an industry first. A price checking scanner in the humidor!  Customers can now swipe the cigar and learn about its price, taxes and flavor.

The capacity of Puff The Magic is increased and the new outdoor patio is opened for business. 

Spring 2009-

Fall 2009-

More improvements!! Larger televisions with High Definition & Tivo are installed. The humidor is expanded in size and selection. In addition to a state of the art hot-air humidification system, a new tile floor and electrical imrovements are added to make Puff The Magic's the finest walk-in humidor in the state.

The largest renovation since Puff The Magic's opening! The retail store is completely redone from top to bottom. With its custom cabinetry and many modern features, the new Oak Room is truly a sight to behold.
