Walk-in vs Cabinets- Puff The Magic believes the experience of touching, smelling and choosing your tobacco in a humidified room is the only way to shop. Cabinets offer a good view of product but not the sensory experience of a walk-in humidor. Many cities and towns have outlawed walk-in humidors and many shops that do have them do not allow the customers to enter at all, or if they do, they must be accompanied at all times. Puff The Magic allows its customers to peruse and enjoy the humidor for as long as they would like and believe that this shopping experience is part of the overall smoking experience.

Humidification- Most humidors use cold-air atomizing systems which are less expensive and easier to install. Puff The Magic uses the most scientifically advanced hot-air system for the humidification of its walk-in humidor. Cold-air systems leave mineral deposits on everything including the cigars. They give the entire room (or cabinet) a dirty feeling. In addition, cold-air systems cool the air making it more difficult for the air to hold moisture. This is fine in tropical climates but in most places in the United States hot-air systems produce an environment similar to the climate where the cigars are made. The humidification system at Puff The Magic is located in the basement where the water is treated, conditioned and heated before being sent to the humidor. All impurities are removed quietly in the basement allowing only clean humidification to enter the room. As soon as you enter our humidor you know that you are entering a very special room where cigars are cared for like no other in the region. We promise that you will taste the difference in every smoke that comes from our humidor.

Walls. Cieling & Shelves- Puff The Magic uses only Spanish Cedar and Mahogany materials throughout its humidor. These hardwoods are the best for the aging of cigars. In addition, these types of woods do not warp in humid environments. Our shelves are slotted allowing the free flow of humidity throughout the room and all around the cigars.

Floor- There are very few options when it comes to flooring in a humidor. The floor must be vapor tight and be able to withstand heavy traffic. Wood floors require maintenance. Odors from annual staining and maintenance will eventually clog the pores of the raw Spanish Cedar and Mahogany and leave an undesirable lingering smell that will effect the taste of the cigars. Pergo, vinyl and other inexpensive floorings look bad. Puff The Magic has a beautiful slate floor.

Security- The cost of theft and damage in walk-in humidors always gets passed on to customers. Puff The Magic has a state-of-the-art security system that is monitored and recorded both on and off site. This allows customers to enter the room unattended and enjoy their shopping experience without being followed or rushed.
